PROLINE MATCH-ON IN KAKUNGULU

A first half goal from winger Henry Baganza settled things as Proline matched onto the next stage (fourth round) of Kakungulu cup. To reach round three of this competition, Proline beat KA &SE Garage FC in the penalty shot out. Now after eliminating standard High- Zana, in their consecutive third away fixture, Proline is comfortably waiting to turn their full force against the winner between League leaders Police FC and FUFA president's Bunamwaya FC. Hoping that this time round Proline will have the much awaited chance to play host at Mandela National Stadium Namboole.

Proline had the best of first half whereby they made the host (Standard High) look like Amateurs on their own bad pitch. They (Proline) were all over them given to their free passing game and pressing whenever possession lost. On many occasions Proline were just unlucky either by standard's organized defense or shooting off target.

Baganza Henry's shot on goal which beat the keeper in the right hand corner to the back of the net; I would call it a lucky one. The goal keeper had moved a few steps off his line and when he saw the ball coming, he seemingly under estimated the power behind it. So before he knew it, was too late to save.

In second half, the rain interfered with the beautiful game which had started to be displayed by both sides. Standard had come back with plan B but though they tried to push forward, it did not pay off. Proline defended the first half lone goal advantage over standard to the last minute. So at the end of the day, Proline won it zero- one (0-1).
