PROLINE KIDS HUMILIATE CATARONIA ACADEMY
Proline Soccer Academy's kids of U - 10 and U - 12 on Saturday May 17th 2008 beat Cataronia Academy sides 9 - 1 and 4 - 2 respectively.
U - 10 maintained their invisible run since the launcch of Proline as a Soccer Academy three years ago by its Patron Julian Ferdinand. This age category (arguably by most talented ) also on the same day entered into Proline history books by having four of its players scoring a brace in one game, that is Joshua Okiror, Bunjo Swidiq, Ezra Wamundu and Mutesasira Muhammed. The other player on the soccer sheet was Andrew "Andy" Katumwa making 9 - 1 in favour of the host Proline and the Visitors lone consolation sole effort came at the start of the second half cutting Proline's 4 - 0 first half lead to 4 - 1.
Meanwhile other than Bunjo who was man of the match, Tevez John Steven was out standing especially in first half when he made three assists to equal U - 18's Mbaziira Simon Monie record of the most number of assists made in a single game. Simon set this record on June 10th 2007 when his side humiliated London College of St. Lawrence 11-1, making three of Mawanda Musa's 4 goals.
U - 12 came from a goal down to beat their counter parts 4 - 2 in a game which seemed to be a tight contest for Proline which fielded 8 of the just promoted U-10 players in first half especially, which ended 1 - 1. Proline getting the equalizer from Mubiru Shafik's 21 yarder .
In second half there was life in the game when U -14's most lethal goal poacher Muliika Marvin was brought on for Tuwensige Gerald, who for the fist time struggled to impress. Marvin set up Lukwago Ismail (former U - 10 player ) twice before getting his own through free kick to seal Proline's 4 - 2 home win over Cataronia Academy.
On the different note, the house weekly lecturers resumed on Saturday May 17th 2008 following last week's Counselors meeting with the director upon the lads successful return from the England tour.
Counselor Willian Bakkabulindi, Director Mujib Kasule and the Daily Monitor Sports Editor, Mark Namanya respectively took the housemates through a series of Public Speech whereby Mukisa Ssenabulya Yusuf, Kabonge Brian, Kemista Davis Ssenkubyra, Mbaziira Simon Monie, Bigala Denis "Makooba," Kemba Aziz and Kakuba Alex "Junior" volunteered. The three instructors (William, Mujib and Mark) put more emphasis on the boys to master Honesty, Expression, Appearance/Posture, Belief, Voice projection, Lapse after conversation, Confidence, Self criticism, Public criticism and Preciseness for them to champion the art of Public Speech.
Away from Public Speech, Director Mujib Kasule introduced his own topic of Consistence In Football. He went ahead by mentioning the three categories of footballers which included Average, Form and Class. Explained all the three in detail but putting more emphasis on Class which he said is the greatest of all, giving distinctive features of World Class Footballers.
Mujib added that for one to achieve consistence, Must look for his weapon(s) and work on them, Self criticism, Should always seek to improve, Do individual work and To do not neglect training. But consistence for the Team comes with love for one another (one blood). Mujib concluded his session by introducing J. Kabanda, whom he said is soon to retire Player of Super League champions elect (KCC FC).
Kabanda in his own few words to the boys said, for the last 16 years he has been playing super division football and his nation team days, where he had to fight for places with the likes Wilber Musiika and Abubakar Tabula, his secret has been identifying his counter parts strength, hard work coupled with his strong weapon district from the others. So a combination of competitiveness and discipline earned him regular football and National team call-ups at all stages.
