PROLINE'S MONDAY 17th TRAINING CALLED OFF

Proline Soccer Academy Director, Mr. Mujib Kasule on Sunday 16th March,2008 suspended U-18's Monday morning training session due to "lack of body rest". This was caused by a group of 9 Proline players who organized a self-friendly match with Vienna College (Namugongo) the school in the neighborhood.

According to house rules and policy, the U-18 players (Housemates) are supposed to train every morning from Monday to Saturday and do rest on Sunday. Sunday is a day off to whichever player is interested to go visit home but not later than 8pm or if not stay in the house and rest completely. This weekly program is only altered on match days where they have to stay in the house till when picked for a particular game.

The program is so to stream-lined that Monday - Friday is training at Kira grounds and Saturdays at Lugogo earlier before the rest start theirs. From Thursday - Saturday nights are for general lectures for housemates from 8pm -10 pm and Sundays for resting, unless stated.

Among other programs affected by the verdict include, the Wednesday 19th and 21st March, 2008 friendlies. And the other thing about the verdict is that the 9 offenders are to take care of the entire house responsibilities for a week with effect from Monday 17th March 2008.

Meanwhile after the incident, the Director in the company of the boys' manager Shaban Kakooza took the boys through an extra lecture session which he entitled "Body and Training". In this very lecture he emphasized the need for a rest and vowed to punish heavily whoever (player) abuses the "need to rest".

The players who featured for Proline (in training jerseys) in an illegal friendly match include; Henry Baganza, Imamu Isaac "Bumbuli", Mulindwa Timothy "The lost", Mbaziira Simon Monie "Kyeyune", Ewatu Razak "Apollo", Feni Ali Mohammoud, Tumusiime Martin, Kakuba Alex "Junior"and Matovu Sulaiman "Malouda". The match anyway ended in the visitor's favor, Proline wining 5-0 at which Bumbuli scored four and Simon getting the other. This is the second time Proline play such a game against Vienna, the first one Proline played 11 prayers with no substitute on the bench and won 9-0 but on a Saturday evening. So it wasn't brought to books but they were unlucky this time. Though they managed to beat their coach Mbowa Abubaker, who was resting in his room and House Manager Baker Kasule who had gone to visit a relative at Ndejje Senior School, could not beat Mr. Director who caught them red-handed "passing the ball" as they prefer calling it. "The 9" claim they were just tired of those Vienna boys asking them for another game through their O.B Martin (Proline), on grounds that the first time when they were white washed 9-0. They were ill-prepared. So Proline though illegally, wanted to end the bet.

Apollo one of "the 9" reacted that to hell with this group influence thing. Bumbuli said, that man referring to the Director, is just loved by God because nobody expected him to show up at such a time while Henry apologized on behalf of the rest saying, "we are very sorry for such a thing and promise to even double our discipline on and off the pitch".
